Jenny Macnaughton - A brief resume

     Jenny Macnaughton was born in Sydney and attended East Sydney Technical College in a course of survey drafting and worked for some years as a tracer-draughtswoman. She has been actively painting in oils since 1971 and diversified to watercolours in 1981. She attended Willandra Art School for tuition in watercolours.

     She is an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of NSW, The City of Ryde Art Society and The Drummoyne Municipal Art Society.

     Currently, Jenny holds classes for adults at her home studio in Megan near Dorrigo in Northern NSW and runs Watercolour Workshops in NSW. She holds a week long Holiday Workshop each year, the next one to be at the Dorrigo Hotel in September 2007. She is a popular demonstrator for art societies and tutors at the Mitchell School of Arts at Bathurst, Murrumbidgee School of Creative Arts in Wagga Wagga and at the Grafton Artsfest.

     Jenny has held many exhibitions in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Rockhampton Inverell and Dorrigo and has released two books: "Capturing the Australian Light in Watercolour" and "Watercolor Flowers Fast Fresh & Free". In 2006, Jenny released her first DVD, featuring a series of watercolour tutorials. It is titled: Jenny Macnaughton Paints Watercolour - Australian Country Cottages.
